El Instituto de la Mujer de Extremadura de la Consejería de Igualdad y Empleo de la Junta de Extremadura ha puesto en marcha la iniciativa «Escuelas de Igualdad», con la asistencia técnica de Fundación Mujeres.
Durante el desarrollo del Curso de Creación de Empresas, se han estudiado y analizado varios proyectos empresariales, los cuales serán puestos en marcha durante este ejercicio económico
Ya se puede adquirir en la librerías el libro «Imitando a Rebeca. Modelos de feminidad para cristianas en el antiguo testamento»
Los proyectos empresariales contarán con una inversión inicial de 371.193 euros y la facturación alcanzará el millón de euros
El pasado 15 de mayo de 2009 se reinició la atención a mujeres inscritas en las oficinas de empleo de Oviedo que quieran orientación en la búsqueda de empleo y/o asesoramiento sobre su proyecto empresarial.
El pasado jueves 21 de mayo tuvo lugar, en el Salón Dorado del Palacio Municipal de María Pita, la reunión de la Mesa Institucional para la constitución de la «Rede Coruña Emprega». En el acto de firma estuvieron presentes el Alcalde y el Primer Teniente de Alcalde delegado de Promoción Económica y Vivenda, área promotora de dicho proyecto.

El Proyecto INSERCIONA se desarrolla en Córdoba, atiende a mujeres demandantes de empleo con dificultades de integración laboral y oferta a las empresas un servicio de intermediación para la gestión de sus procesos de selección.
El 20 de mayo se celebrará en la Escuela de Feminismo de Cáceres una jornada sobre la igualdad en la futura ley de educación extremeña dirigida tanto a la comunidad educucativa (padres, madres, docentes y alumnado) como a agentes sociales, instituciones y asociaciones, así como a la ciudadanía de la región.
